How do i access an old back up

Hi

I need to retrieve old messages from around 12 months ago. It's really important as it's for a legal case with work. I have tried erasing my phone hoping it would give me lots of restore date options but only the most recent one showed.

Does anyone know how/if i can access every back up that i have done in the last 12 months?

Thank you :)

If you make regular backups, a backup that old is not going to be available. There is a some debate about how many backups are available, but the most that are saved are the last three backups.
