I took some low light footage on my iPhone 11 pro and it turns out useless because of how much lens flare is visible. It doesn't happen on other phones or digital cameras. The footage looks really bad. Here is an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kCu9v7_AGE

I recommend contacting Apple support. I called right away after I noticed it, was on the phone for 10 minutes, was offered 4 different options;
I have a local Best Buy in town where I live, so I went in the next day and had them run through their procedures with diagnostic tools and checks, then proceed telling me I could either drive to an Apple store who had the part (2 hour drive) or wait a week for him to order the part. Week passed, got my phone in, took about an hour, presto, new camera setup, much better results.
If you can, definitely do #2 and get the new lens it is by far the best option. I wouldn't do #4 because you could get a refurbished one (which isn't acceptable for an investment like this to get a used item) that likely never had its lens replaced.

So 45 years of photography is inexperienced in your book? Ridiculous analogy.
It is if you are shooting into conditions that induce lens flare on most any other photographic or video equipment and are expecting it to not be there on an iPhone.
B&H is a good article but it doesn’t even mention green/blue spots and ghosting. So I have no idea why you would reference that article. Am I missing something? Do you not know the difference?
You're missing the fact that it mentions that lens hoods aren't the lens flare cure, regardless of it's the more conventional looking lens flare or the sensor reflection (green orb) kind.

Definitely not upset with my Galaxy S20 Ultra, except it doesn’t run iOS.
My 7 Plus doesn’t have that issue, but it doesn’t have an OLED screen.
Oh well, you can’t get everything.
I have it as well, there isn’t much Apple Support is going to do. I’m hoping because of a 1 year hardware warranty perhaps in future production models this allows for device improvement and replacement option
Done that, not much response show them video and photos but if it the dont see it on the store when they try the camera then nothing its wrong.. the did a a software scan to check if everything was functioning well but. Really thinks its a hardware problem o design...
Sent mine to Apple Authorized Service Center just now, they say they gonna swap out the camera at Apple Singapore as my country doesn't have Offcial Apple Service Center. Hope this problem can be fixed, they told me within 1 week. Tested iphone 11 at 3 different stores, all of 3 units tested have the same issue, so i don't think replacement unit will solve the issue, unless you are lucky enough to get the later batch of iphone
I honestly couldn’t tell you how they’re doing it. I was told by geek squad they got the part to replace the camera. I don’t know if they’re replacing the glass, but if they do then If it’s like the Xs the camera is separated from the glass, but the back glass goes underneath the camera. If they mess up then I guess I’d get a new phone.
