XR Camera after iOS 13.1.2 Update

So someone told me to change my HDR mode to save the original and HDR version. The HDR version of the photo is the one showing the stripes the original image does not have them. I dunno if that helps?

Hey so after visiting Apple they ran diagnostics found nothing wrong but decided to replace my camera anyways. Since the replacement I haven’t seen the issue reoccur.

Same with me my Apple Authorized repair store replaced my camera and no issues for now.

Brought my 3 month old XR to the Apple store for the same issue. They replaced the camera only for me to find out that did absolutely nothing. When I brought it back they said there was nothing else they could do and that I’d just have to “wait” until they come up with a SW fix for the issue.

Really Apple? This is what you are charging $600 for? A phone with a camera that is pretty much unusable at this point. My photos come out with these yellow and black lines in nearly all lighting conditions. What a disappointment.

My phone has also experienced the same issue since late September following iOS 13 updates. Apple support and the Apple store we’re not helpful at all and now my XR is out of warranty. They denied the issue existed, and when I was able to reproduce the issue was told I had to wipe my phone entirely and not download any backups because the issue would be attached to my iCloud data. I am seriously considering returning to Android products based on their lack of taking responsibility.

Have you updated to 13.3.1? If so, are you still seeing this issue on new photos?

Yes! I am having this issue as well and Apple is being very unhelpful. It only happens on the rear camera, I was on iOS 13.1.1 and it was an issue so I updated to 13.1.2 and it’s still occurring. I have been playing around with it a lot and I feel like it’s something to do with bright vs dark areas of the frame see what I mean in the series of photos I just took where it does and does not occur.

When you contacted Apple, did they schedule a call for you with an advisor? When you have an advisor, they can also get details and photos from you so they can send it to the team to figure out what's happening.

Hopefully they’ll figure out something. I went to Apple 2 days ago and they had to order a new camera part to replace mine. We’re still waiting for the order to arrive.

Wait for a future update. I have communicated with an Apple Advisor and gave as much information as I can to them and the engineers. An iOS update should be coming soon to fix this issue.

I also have this issue. I noticed it taking photos where there is less light and only after updating to iOS 13.1.2. Also, just like you I don’t see it in the live view. I only see it in the final photo in camera roll.

No, it was all done through messenger I sent them some example photos. When the Apple agent said “that’s and interesting problem” I knew they had no idea about what was going on. I have scheduled to go to the Apple store tomorrow maybe they can be of more assistance?

Hi. I also got my camera replaced yesterday. I also noticed that the blue/yellow stripes doesn’t happen anymore. However, I noticed that there’s still a weird stripe issue. Instead of blue/yellow, the stripes on my new camera are much thinner and my photos look like they’re a woven fabric. Just like the blue/yellow stripes, this thin stripe issue with my replacement camera also only occurs in low light. But this time I think it also happens with HDR off. In this photo, it was shot in horizontal and I just cropped it to the top left corner where it’s most visible.

What is a radar. I am BEYOND frustrated with Apple on this issue. I have run every diagnostic under the sun, even replaced the entire phone, wiped data, the list goes on and the problem continues.
