Texting problem with update 13.1.2?

I have an iPhone Xs Max and my problems started after the 13.1.3 update. No iMessage and no FaceTime and unable to sign out of find my phone. I tried the reset all settings. That did not work for me, now I have to fix all my settings again.

I'm having this issue with SMS messages... just randomly started not working today (a week after the update).

is anyone else having the issue of notifications also not notifying properly anymore...? before the sms stopped working completely - i would receive messages but there was no notification on the lock screen or banner anymore, so half the time i have no idea i've received a message until i unlock my phone.

tried restart and reset network settings with no resolve. i don't want to do a full restart yet cuz it's so time consuming, and really this issue shouldn't even be happening. hope a new update fixes these problems

While I won't be in a hurry to recommend any updates from Apple for a while, I will say that I figured I had nothing to lose with 13.1.3 considering the mess from the previous 13.1.x updates. I was tired or rebooting my phone once or twice a day so I could get my messages and missed calls and took the leap. Much to my surprise, it seemed to have fixed the majority of my problems and I have not had any issues with calls or messages since. Step in the right direction.

I am using iPhone 8 and now IOS 13.1.3

Fingers crossed. I still have automatic updates off, just to make sure I have time to decide if I want the next one or not. I try to wait a bit to see who else was desperate enough to try it....

Ever since the last IOS update I can not send or receive pictures and can not receive group texts and sometimes my texts don’t got through either. This is getting very frustrating. I made sure my cellular data is on and mms ans I message. Have reset my phone and have turned off and on again. Turned off iMessage and back on. Nothing works. This last updates to 13.1 and 13.2 sucks. If u have. It done the update don’t. I have tried everything DONT know what else to do. Apple needs to fix this

Go to your iPhone and Settings and Messages

make sure you can send and receive to your cell phone and Apple ID Which might be your email since your IPad is connected to your Apple ID. It worked for me.

Unable to text (SMS), contact your carrier.

Unable to text (iMessage), check you data balance on your cellular plan. If you are on WiFi check internet connectivity.

Try turning off iMessage on your phone (Settings / Messages), wait a minute or two and turn it back on.

Yes. iphone 8. My girl friend did the update and she cannot text or make phone calls. I wont do the update

After updating our IPhone 7+’s my wife and I both started receiving lots of dirty spam text messages! Anyone else having this problem? What do I do about it?

I am also having issues with messaging and find my iPhone will not connect. To make matters worse, I am not able to sign in to messaging with my Apple ID. Any updates?

This solution worked - temporarily. I did the restore and everything was perfect. Turned the phone on this morning and it was back to the same problem. Text will not send.

Texting not sending. Auto subject selection is buggy. Some suggestions work, some don't

I forgot to add that I am able to send a text if I use Siri, or if the phone is connected to Apple Car Play.
