Is anyone else experiencing issues importing to pc with Iphone 11 pro max?

So my I am experiencing issues with my new Iphone 11 pro max, when importing photos and videos , especially videos to my windows pc. It works for a bit, but then I keep getting this message.:

Yes, I allowed usb access from face recognition. Yes I allowed my phone to keep full resolution photos, and yes my Transfer to Mac or pc settings are set on automatic. I also tried keep originals, but to no avail. I have done everything, I can. restarting my phone, my computer also, buying new apple certified sync cables. but same issue. I also tried a different computer and experienced the same issue.

Im afraid the issue here is the iphone 11 pro max itself. Wheter it is a hardware issue or a software issue I do not know. Im afraid Im going to have to return this phone. So my question is, is anyone else going through this , or is it just me?

Keep originals worked for me, maybe you didn’t close the settings app after changing the setting on that, read below how I did it, also make sure you are signed out of iCloud.

"Something went wrong. Your files might not have been imported"

If you get this message, there’s a way to solve it without giving up and having to end up buying something to import your photos from iPhone to the PC.

Go to you’re iPhones settings, scroll down to - Photos - scroll down to - TRANSFER TO MAC OR PC - which most likely is set to - Automatic - all you have to do is switch it to - Keep Originals - and that should solve the problem. To be safe, close the apps you have running by pressing the home button twice and swiping up, then plug in your iPhone cord to the USB of your PC, allow your phone to trust the computer, and choose to imort your photos to computer.

P.S. make sure once it begins to import that your cord doesn’t move around or accidentally unplug, the photos that were importing will still be imported but you will receive the same message again, and will just have fix the cord and re-import the photos that had not been imported (the app will automatically select them for you)

Hope this helps because it certainly worked for me.

No matter what I do this import issue has not worked. I run a multimedia company and we've used just about every thing out there to shoot, so many cameras, drones, android phones, other phones and I've never run into an issue as bad as this. I actually really like the iPhone 11 pro camera system, but Apple has been no help at all in resolving this issue. I've done customer support, genius bar, managers you name it and all I've gotten really is basically we don't know with a PC, I can show you easily on a Mac. It's quite unacceptable when you spend this amount to have such an issue that Apple can't resolve.

Hey there giioquiin,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. Congratulations on getting your new iPhone 11 Pro Max. I understand you’re having some issues importing your photos from your iPhone to your Mac and PC. It sounds like you’ve done some great troubleshooting steps so far and I’ll be happy to help.

First, take a look to see if you have iCloud Photos enabled on your iPhone in Settings > Photos; if so, I'd suggest using the "iCloud Photos" steps in the following resource to set up iCloud for Windows and use iCloud Photos on your PC: Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're not using iCloud Photos, it's possible that the Windows 10 version 1903 update can help with the error you see. Try installing the update and test importing again: Get the Windows 10 May 2019 Update

Lastly, check Settings > Photos, then verify "Transfer to Mac or PC" is set to "Automatic"

If you're still unable to successfully import your photos, reach out to Apple for additional assistance: Contact Apple Support

Best Wishes.
