2k Video Processing in FCPX

Hi everyone,

This forum really helps me a lot as far as video editing is concerned.

I am new to this video editing domain and after reading a lot, I have got stuck somewhere for which I need help.

I make videos on my travel and use a gopro for it. As my trips are generally longer, in order to save space I generally shoot in 2K mode.

But when I am trying to process this in FCPX, I dont get the ourput at 2K resolution. So here is my work flow.

1) While creating an event and importing the files these are my settings.

In 2K I have to keep resolution as 2048X1080. It doesnt show me an option of 2560X1440p which is the ideal res for 2K

2) Here is what it shows as the resolution while it is in the workflow 2704X1620

3) However when I export the max that I can export is only to a level of 1920X1080 0or at max 2048X1152 which when goes to youtube can only achieve 1080p level.

Pls. help me with this.
