Personal hotspot on iPhone Xr not visible on iPad 9.7
I have ios 13.1 on both iPhone Xr and iPad 9.7. When I updated to iOS 13 on both devices, several problems popped up. Most have been resolved except the hotspot issue.
In order to connect my iPad to my iPhone hotspot, I must turn off the hot spot on the iPhone and turn it back on again. Once I do that, the iPhone name appears in the ipad WiFi list and will automatically connect. If I don’t turn it off then on again, it will not appear as as option on my iPad and won’t connect either.
I have checked all settings on both devices and as far as I can tell, everything is clicked to be on or automatic. Have I missed a step or is Apple dropping the hotspot ball here?
I am very hesitant to go to 13.1.2 for lots of reasons, one of which is I tend to get the can’t check for update error messages often. That works sometimes and sometimes not.
This hotspot issue is really annoying as I use both for work and it’s becoming quite tedious. Thanks in advance.
