AM or PM on Home Screen

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that the AM/PM is not appearing at the top of the Home screen with the time. I'll be happy to explain.

You can toggle between 12 hours and 24 hours for the clock at the top of the Home screen along the status bar. This can be don in Settings > General > Date & Time. This would show what it would look like: Status icons and symbols on your iPhone - Apple Support

The X and later models don't have enough space on the status bar to display AM and PM without removing something else, like the Location Services indicator, which many people consider more important. I've never considered AM/PM important, because I can easily tell the difference between noon and midnight, or even between 7 AM and 7 PM. I suppose if I served on a submarine it might be an issue (not being facetious, I know a number of submariners and they say this really is an issue for them).

They have enough space. No am pm is a bug. You need to switch to Russian. After reboot am pm disappears. Same if you switch back to English. About location service icon: it fits! Am pm font gets smaller. This problem doesn't bother me. I use military time. Write to apple.
