How come I can no longer swipe down to search my iPhone for installed apps in iOS 13?

Yesterday, I installed iOS 13.1.2 on my iPhone XR. It seems as a consequence, I have lost the ability to “swipe down” to search for apps already installed on my phone. None of the previously installed are being listed in the search results since the update. Is this a known issue?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're unable to search for apps. I'll be happy to help.

Here are some suggestions:

In Settings > Siri & Search, look through the apps list to and be sure 'Show in Search' is enabled for each app.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
