Hi Everyone. There is another (short) post regarding same issue. It's called "AW Cellular S3 Nike - Call Failed every time... A solution was posted on that string that worked for me as I can now answer calls on my watch. It states:

On your iPhone, go to Settings > Phone, and turn off Wi-Fi Calling and Calls on Other Devices.

In the Watch app on your iPhone, go to My Watch > General > Enable Handoff, and disable Handoff.

Restart both devices, then turn these features back on.

Here's more about Wi-Fi Calling and how calls are delivered to other devices:

Make and receive calls on your Mac, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Make a call with Wi-Fi Calling - Apple Support

Let me know if this works, test while connected and not connected to Wi-Fi.

Good luck.

I have an iPhone 7Plus and outnof nowhere all of mt saved passwords disppeared then all lf the phonecalls I receive are saying “call failed” and after it rings when someone calls and I try to answer it and it says “call failed” it disappears and I cannot even see who called me! My recent calls and missed calls stopped working over a month ago also when this starting happening. My phone also has these screens with notifications popping up saying your sim sent a text message and wants me to hit ok or cancel and I am not seeing sny messages. Then I got a text message from a strange phone number saying I am sorry my phone was hacked and I am calling to file a police report and it went away! I have eben inot Metro PCS who I have my cell service through and they have done a network reset which helped nothing and I also called apple numerous times and they cannot do a single thing and act clueless every time I call about the problem and it has been going on for over a month! It is getting very old not being sble to use my phone and yet I still have to pay for it because I have apps for my job on it I use to clock in and out at work. I am getting very frustrated and my children and I have always used Apple but I am seriously considering dumping all of my apple

products if nobody can help me out because Apple sure has not been able to do anything nor my cellphone carrier. Please help!

Hi HelpPleaseCallFailed,

Your situation sounds really frustrating, but I believe you have posted your comment in the wrong thread. This discussion is for folks who have lost the ability to use their Apple Watch to make and receive calls, especially when paired with the original series iPhone SE. You will probably get more help starting your own discussion asking for help about your issue, or finding a discussion already in progress that specifically targets your problem.

I wonder if Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 5 are different in the context of the issue at hand. I mean, today I made and received several calls again via my Apple Watch Series 5. Several calls within three hours, and everything is still working perfectly since I updated my iPhone SE (2016) to iOS 13.6 and Apple Watch Nike Series 5 (no cellular) to watchOS 6.2.8.

I see that in the thread, the owners of the Series 4 report a still existing problem. I thought that in this regard, Series 4 and Series 5 are all the same. But it seems not. Are there any Series 5 owners who still have the problem?

It's a pity that many users still have this problem, because this is really a very convenient feature: I didn't even need to take my smartphone out of my shoulder bag to receive or make a call. Even on the street you can hear it well.

Gam3ngine,

I have called Apple soooo many times ans even went into the local Apple store and even my cellphone provider said it is an Apple

issue and they have no clue at all what to do. I have decided I am going to finally switch over to Android and go with Samsung because I have been paying my cellphone bill every month and not even been able to make or receive calls without the people callingme about 4 to 5 times in a row. That is interesting you noticed something about Wifi calling because 1 of my friends actually suggested me turning off Wifi calling. I have more than 1 device I use and I leave my ipads at home and my daughter is signed into my Apple id so i can see who she talks to and everything to track her safety, but recently the ipad is wantingme to set her up with an entire new apple id and I do not want to and ahe is not wanting to lose everything she has on her ganming on her ipad. It seems like I am going to have no choice though, but to quit buying Ipads and iphones and switch to Samsung. I have been getting told for years that Apple purposely downgrades and slows down the older model phones and I am now seeing it and I took my credit card off of my account because they were even billing me for old subscriptions and I could not even get to the refund page under my Itunes and Apple ID and they do not care less. It is just becoming nothing but a money pit and scam calls with this iphone anyhow and it is not getting any better protected of a product nor do they care that us consumers are paying for these phones and they are not usable. I will behally when Apple goes completely away honestly if they do not start providing better customer service!
