Three-Finger text select iTerm2

Three-finger drag works flawlessly on one of my MBP's in iTerm (which I will call the 'first MBP for this question). On my other MBP (second one), I can only select text in iTerm with FORCE-TOUCH-DRAG ... which, I MUST get right first time - and I usually don't! Any additional text I want to add to selected text is not possible. The same gesture attempt to MOVE the already-selected text.

Any help on this ?

BTW, Three-Finger Drag (for moving windows around and such) works on BOTH MBP's - (although I do not know how it's working on the first one, as SystemPrefs->Accessability->Mouse&Trackpad->TrackPadOptions->EnableDragging check box is NOT CHECKED, yet it still works).

I love the flawless, non-force-touch, 3 finger drag on the first MBP to select text (even pages of text) to copy and paste with CMD-C, CMD-V. For a programmer, it's a life saver. Anyway I can adjust setting on second MBP to mimic the first ?

thanks,
