When I updated iOS my Facebook icon disappeared. When I search it says it’s in my medical folder on my phone. It shows notifications but the icon is not shown in there. How do I pull it out without resetting to factory?

Hi, Sandy!

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. I understand after reading your post that you're unable to locate your Facebook app. I'm happy to help!

I see you've used the Search feature, which advises you that Facebook is in a particular folder, however you do not see it there. I recommend going into the folder and swiping from right to left to see if there are additional pages. It's possible the Facebook app may just be one other than the main page.

Should you still not be able to locate the app, try force closing any open apps: How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support, then restarting your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

If you're still unable to find it, check to see if you have any restrictions: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support or app limits/downtime: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support.

You can also try deleting Facebook from your device in Settings > General > iPhone Storage, then redownloading it from the App Store: Redownload apps, music, movies, TV shows, and books - Apple Support.
