Email problem after updating to ios 13.1.2

After update, email doesn’t retrieve new incoming email when I open inbox. It shows the message “checking incoming email” but it continues to check without showing. It only shows new email at night. Does anyone have solution to this issue? I use gmail

I have the same issue here after updating to 13.1.2. I am using Office365.

Mail app will not update emails automatically or by pulling down. Randomly it will decide to update and a flood of emails will come in.

Same. After 13.1.2 update, all of my email accounts: Win 365 Enterprise, Gmail, Yahoo and AOL emails don’t retrieve any read email and sometimes new email when I open the inbox. Not sure when Apple will send a new update this the fix, but it is affecting my productivity. Has a solution to this issue been issued and if not, when??

I’ve never been more frustrated with an update and it’s almost all related to the mail app. It crashes after having to pull down to refresh (which I never had to do in the past). Plus, I cannot insert a picture without the app crashing. Lastly, even with a pull down, sometimes the new email doesn’t come in unless I close the app and restart.

In addition to email issues I now have difficulty with internet searches. Pages either loading slowly or not at all. Searches freezing or disappearing. This phone is now useless. Apple needs to fix this before the class action starts. Maybe a consumer protection issue as well.

Since updating to iOS 13.1.3 my phone's gmail account is not syncing with my Apple mail on my MacBook pro. So I delete emails on my MacBook and they're still visible on my phone after refresh. Nothing in the link you placed above answers this question.

The email app on ipad is now a nightmare.

It doesn’t update, it crashes, it reinstates messages back from folders to the inbox after they’ve been moved. And, on returning to the inbox after moving an item, the displayed message is not the same as the selected one, so that trying to move or delete the displayed message applies the action to the wrong message.

What are Apple playing at????

Reinstallation didn't work for me; tried it twice. I read an email and it doesn't show as read. I delete it and it reappears (usually twice). When I forward an email, the text of the original email doesn't appear. Very aggravating. Also, my problem is most acute with Exchange server emails.

As I wrote in my previous post, my Gmail app and Ibm verse didn’t work properly. Meanwhile, both applications (without update) got in function (notification). I m not trolling. I have never uninstall those application since my last post, and then install them again and never updated ios, ios is 13.1.3

Having the same issue here.

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I have noticed that I still get a tone for a new e-mail but it doesn't display - if I exit "all inboxes" and go into a specific mailbox the new emails are there, if I then go back into "all inboxes" everything is there.

Yep, if you have the banners on, it even shows the banner the mail has come in, but you need to switch between inboxes to make it visible....

I was done with it affter 3 updates no improvement in the Fu.. mail app. After 10 years of using Iphone's I ditched my I-Phone and went to the competition.

I am having the same issues with my email. After the update. I have switched “fetch” settings and deleted and reconnected my gmail accounts to the email but they all freeze and disappears while I’m viewing the email or try to open it. I thought updating iOS 13.2.2 would take care of this problem and I was wrong. PLEASE FIX THIS NOW.

I have a customer who I've just upgraded their iPhone XS to an 11 Pro, using the standard upgrade option of having the new phone next to the old one, and doing a direct phone to phone transfer.

Now, the old phone (just on wifi) updates email instantly, whereas the new one with WiFi and 4g can take up to 45 minutes to update email! It's very, frustrating and the customer is livid as he got this phone to be better.

They're using an Office 365 email account, and that gave problems originally as well, as the Exchange console on 365 showed the device as 'disallowed' and I had to delete the account and add it manually, after deleting the phone from the Exchange device console.

Something not right here, and I'm taking the flack for it.

I think I have had every problem listed on this chain, including this one. It is good to share these things, but it would be nice to know that Apple were using just a little bit of their ginormous profits to listen to this feedback and tell us what, if anything, they plan to do about it.

So depressing. I am a loyal Apple customer but this update is set to drive me into the arms of Android.
