iOS 13 no service

Hello. I installed IOS 13 the other days and there was no problem.

After that i installed the update iOS 13.1.2 and it seems that after i recieve and answer a call my signal drops to “ no service ” mode.

I have to turn airplane mode on and off so that i reset the antenna.

what’s the solution ? I can’t allways check my phone to see if i have no service ....

It seems that it is solved with 13.3 Dev Beta 1 also just figured out there is a new update called 13.2.2 which claims this issue is addressed.

hello sebascien and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

I see you're having an issue with intermittently seeing No Service on your iPhone after the latest iOS update.

If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

In that article, you'll want to take note of the sections about checking for a carrier update as well as the instructions for resetting your network settings.

Cheers.

Hi less.

here’s a whole extra thread with people experiencing the same.

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250692743?page=4

this is for sure an iOS 13 error.

when people are on WiFi the gsm reception goes to no service when a phone call has been made.

just tapping airplane mode on and off will briefly fix this until the next disconnect.

the only thing that really works is putting the phone to 3G only. But that is not why people buy expensive iPhone 8 or x phones.

you ask to contact support but when i try this your website refuses to give me acces to support because my phone is older than 90 days or something? I find this strange because you have given me this error a few weeks ago in updating my phone.

aren’t you responsible for this problem and i would expect to have a right to support.

if in any way I can help Apple in identifying more details about this problem you are very welcome to contact me.

when a fix is ready in an update, maybe it is a good idea to make an extra notification for iOS users with their phone on 3G only. Somewhere on the internet I read that a complete company had to turn all the iPhones to 3G.

I hope Apple can fix this problem. Thanks in advance.

I have the same issue on iPhone 8 after the new ios 13 update. There is a small workaround by turning off 4g (LTE) and using 3g only.

Steps to reproduce.

  1. Keep the wifi turned on and mobile network chosen as LTE (4g).
  2. Make a phone call or receive a phone a call.
  3. After ending the call, In few seconds you will notice the no service message.

Few workarounds,

workaround 1: turn off and turn on flight mode (not practical always after a phone call)

workaround 2: always keep LTE (4g) off

workaround 3: always keep WIFI turned off and use LTE (4g) only

When can we expect a solution for this issue? is there a way to rollback to iOS 12?

It is the same. Both with or without the case.

I’ve turned cellular network from automatic to off. Still no fix.

I’ve even got a new sim card from my carrier. Again no fix.

The interesting part is that this happens after the latest update. On iOS 13 ( first version) it was working fine.

So my opinion is that the problem is from the iOS update. Maybe a bug of some sort.

Sooooo many people having problems with this.

I also have issues with -

*podcasts - keeps jumping back to up next screen when trying to navigate through Library tab. Which means i cant choose what to play

*voicemail - messages display as being only 1 second duration and incorrect date. Then randomly disappear

* email - unable to change display name using usual path. Name field has gone

*safari - tapping top of screen to return to the top of the web page only works occasionally. It doesnt work for about 50% of websites
