Setup is trying to install a new helper tool.

I am trying to set up my new printer to my MAC and this message pops up. Usually I would put my apple ID password, though I have tried without luck. I don't have a log in for my MAC and this is the only password I could have used for any of my Apple products. What could the password be? Thanks in advance.

Asking for username and password and hold for authentication message when printing I am prompted to this when I try to print from any Apple device (MacBook Pro, IPads, and IPhones) however it works fine with my DELL lap top which is running Windows 7. It was working fine until I moved and connect to a new wi-fi. I almost tried everything, delete the printer and reinstall it, reset the printer, tried combinations of username and passwords, but nothing happened. This applies for the wi-fi print, direct print, and even USB connection. Only e-print is working via the email. How can I get rid of this on all my Apple devices. I tried with HP support but got nothing. The printer is HP DeskJet 2600 All in one

Printer Password? Today I wanted to print to one of my two printers. The ink-jet is directly connected by usb and the laser is connected to a Linux box on my home network. The Linux printer wanted a password, the usb-connected one didn't. This has *never* happened before. A password for a local home network printer? I have never set up a password for a printer in my house ... I wouldn't know where to start to do that ... and my wife would shoot me if I did. Possibly related is that I recently have been getting requests to supply a password for my Google account. Attempts to do so always fail. See my post on "Odd Email Problem". Create a login for your Mac and try again or just leave it blank if possible.
