one AirPod not accepting full charge

I recently purchased new AirPods 2. One AirPod is consistently accepting only a partial charge. Since they are new, all components are clean.

If you haven't already done so, I recommend using the steps in the link below to reset your AirPods, and then test if they charge without issue after that.
