I’ve downloaded iOS13 Saturday and had no issues with ibook untill 3 days ago. Every time I click on a book I’m trying to read, the app freezes and won’t open the book. I’ve restarted my phone and even updated to iOS13.1.2. Nothing seems to help.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Try offloading the app then re-downloading. That keeps your data. Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage and select Books. Then you should see the option to offload it. Just to be sure, restart your iPhone before loading it again.

Have you tried deleting Books and reinstalling?
Fully delete the app and re-download. After that it would be backup and restore the device. If that still doesn’t work then restore as a new device.
I was hesitant on deleting the whole app so I slept on it. Now it seems to be working when I hold the app and click on the book I want to read. If it acts up again then I’ll delete the app. Thanks for the effort!
I have the same issue on two different iPhones, two different models (6S and 11 pro). The workaround helps, but it doesn’t solve the issue. Reinstalling the app doesn’t help either. Looks like a bug, will have to use another epub reader.
Wow actually didn’t think about that haha. I want to try that but not all my books are on iCloud and they’re not downloading at the moment since the app keeps on freezing. I’ll probably lose whatever is not dowloaded if I delete the app, right?
Yeah I can’t seem to open any other book, than the current book I’m reading. So that sucks. I hope they fix it in an update soon.

Yes it does!!!! But I turned it on again but I all of sudden had a lot less books and it still works! Thanks person!

I meant I turned the sync back on because my iCloud books weren’t there and it still works
