Printing tiled pages

I am working on a document sized 11x17" and only have an 8.5 x 11 printer. I would like to see the work in progress printed at actual size, though. Some programs have a feature to "tile print" so you print at actual size tiled across multiple pages, and then align the pages on a table or tape them to see the larger page all together. The program I'm working with, (Sibelius music notation program) though doesn't do that. I had thought Preview had a way to tile print, but I don't think it does. Does anyone have solutions for this? Mac OS 10.12.6. Thanks!

The free approach is to install Adobe Acrobat Reader DC v2019 (or later), and open your 11x17 PDF in it. Then you can follow the instructions for using Reader's poster capability that will generate 4 x 8.5x11 unscaled pages with cut marks, and you trim those four pages to piece together a complete 11x17 from a Letter printer. I just tested those instructions here on a single-page, 11x17 artwork.

You may also find non-free applications in the Mac App Store, but they expect images, have a bunch of optional cost expenditures, or have low ratings (e.g. Split Print).
