iphone won't update because itunes is not most recent even though it is

Downloaded the 13.1.2 update but itunes won't let me install it because it says that I don't have the current version of itunes, but when I try to update itunes it says that I have the current version.

This is how it all ended.

I was able to get the update to load.

It froze my phone up while installing.

I had to restore my iphone to get it to work.

When it restored, it upgraded to 13.1.2.

Not the way I would have wanted to do it because I lost all my stored files.

Oh well.

IPSW file location for Windows 10/8/7 Computers

The exact IPSW file location depends on the username, Windows version, and the iDevice user’s iOS hardware. For instance, here is the location pertaining to user “username” via an iPhone:

  • Windows 8 & Windows 10: Users/yourusername/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes
  • Windows 7 & Windows Vista: Users/yourusername/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
  • Windows XP: Documents and Settings/yourusername/Application Data/Apple Computer/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
