automatic login websites in safari

How can I make it so I don’t have to keep typing out my email address and passwords when logging into websites in safari, that I have saved? This all works on my iPads and iPhone but not the MacBook Air.

A drop down menu will appear, showing my email address to select, I select it and either no password pops up to use or one does but I won’t allow me to login. I can only login by typing everything out from scratch.

Greetings Vancouver22,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities! I understand AutoFill isn't automatically filling in your user name and password as expected, as you mentioned the password will be incorrect or not appear.

Some websites may not allow for AutoFill to automatically enter your information, as outlined in the following support article: If AutoFill doesn’t work in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

I suggest ensuring Safari has the correct password information stored for your accounts. You can verify the password information by selecting Safari > Preferences > AutoFill, and then select Edit next to User names and passwords: Change AutoFill preferences in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

Additionally, iCloud Keychain can keep your user names and passwords updated between your devices: Set up iCloud Keychain - Apple Support

Let me know how it goes from here.

Kind regards.
