How to add more security to my Macbook when logging in?
How can I have an additional measure (apart from a password) of security on my Macbook Air to access it when logging into my user? Note I do not have the version with touch ID.

Use a complicated password an sit with your back to the wall. It's always good to remember that some of the most important security measures are not technological. Making sure that there's no one behind you, not leaving devices unattended, all of those things are an big part of your security arsenal.
Of the things that one can do, is to deny physical access to the Mac.
And if you use two-factor security or latest one, and update/change
passwords; do not share them.
If you share Mac, use Guest Account. Or second -standard- user.
Then you could also set up Parental Controls to edit access, there.
Keep the macbook (or any computer) close, in view; &/or physically secure.
Is this to say that there are no software security additions I can have on top of a password. I believe that two factor authentication is only for iCloud and not for accessing the computer.
