Email problems after update 13.1.2

After updating my iPhone 8 to version 13.1.2 I noticed that no new emails were arriving in my Inbox although my iPad had no such problems. I decided to delete the email account and to reinstall it to see if that fixed things. After going through the Add Account procedure I keep getting the message that the account already exists on my phone although I had deleted it and could not find it anywhere.


Any suggestions?

After removing the account from the phone, power cycle the phone to finish the removal. Then you can add it back.
