I have reset my beta program in Software Update to default, and I am trying to access Catalina release in Software Update, and also directly from App store , and I get this message??Even tried Command-R to reisnstall system, but this only offers me Catalina Beta.
I tried again in the App store, and it recognised the Catalina Update. I started to download, then got an error message saying that 'Not enough diskspace. Catalina needs 11.83 GB of free space'. I have 34GB free!!!! very strange behaviour.
FWIW, I'm guessing the message means you need an additional 11.83 GBs. 34 GBs is very little free space even for a 128 GB drive. 20% free is a good rule of thumb.

All good now, installed. Maybe download server was overloaded??

I thought upgrading from sys pref was the only way...
Nope.
Cant upgrade to Catalina release.
