IPad OS does not recognise SSD disk formatted in Mac OS journaled encrypted

Hi, why I can't see my sandisk extreme SSD drive in Files app on my iPad pro? SSD disk is formatted inMac OS journaled encrypted. Isn't it strange that Mac OS format is not possible to open in apple device?

Thank you

You may need to purchase the actual, genuine Apple USB-C multi adapter adapter, from Apple.

OR

This Apple adapter

You NEED TO PURCHASE THIS EXACT genuine Apple adapter!!

This is THE ONLY adapter that works!

Cheaper ( cheap in price and quality ) third party adapters WILL NOT WORK!!!!

Instead of insisting on nonsense.(Cheaper ( cheap in price and quality ) third party adapters WILL NOT WORK!!!!)

Go get ipad pro for yourself and try connect encrypted SSD disk. Or at least read online polls. Mac OS Extended Encrypted, Journaled (GUID): you get an error message

Mac OS Extended Encrypted, Case-sensitive, Journaled (GUID): you get an error message

APFS Encrypted (GUID): silently fails, not detected

APFS Encrypted, Case-sensitive (GUID): silently fails, not detected

NTFS: you get an error message

here is whre you can read it:

Good question! I have. 6th gen iPad but not iPad Pro!

I went to Apple today and we tried all the connectors - nothing worked. He says my ssd disc requires too much power which my iPad cannot provide - also not my iPhone X. The conclusion is the iPad Pro has more power.bad luck for me.

now seeing other responses - my disc is formatted Mac OS Extended Journaled. Is that a problem?

cheers

Yes it is. As for your device requiring too much power, the iPad is very limited in the power it can provide to the external USB-connected device.

Devices should be entirely self-powered - or must either be powered by a connected (self powered) USB hub, or from the Apple adapter itself (i.e., is itself connected to a suitably powerful PSU). The Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter is designed for this purpose in that it has the additional power connector on the body of the adapter.
