How to delete a table row without affecting the height of the rest of the rows?

When adding or deleting a row for a table in keynote, the row height of the other rows get adjusted such that the total height of the table stays the same.

Is there another way to add or delete a row such that it keeps all other row heights constant and just deletes the row that you have selected?

delete certain cells in Numbers? I have a Numbers spreadsheet. It has several different tables of varying numbers of rows and columns. One table in the middle of the spreadsheet has one extra column in its middle. This one extra column is empty. It has no data. I do not remember how this empty column got into this one table. But it is sitting there taking up space. I want to delete this one column within this one table. Doing so will allow me to see the whole table in the limited space of the Desktop. The Table menu has a Delete Column tool. That tool is no good, as it deletes the whole column from the entire spreadsheet. In the other tables on this spreadsheet this column has valuable data. I cannot delete the whole column without spoiling the spreadsheet. The Edit menu has a Delete tool. When I select the unwanted cells in this one particular table and pull down Edit menu to Delete, Numbers does not respond. The spreadsheet remains unaltered. Is there a way to delete a column within one table on a spreadsheet without deleting the whole column from the whole spreadsheet?

Keynote, pasting into table splits into columns Hello, Having an issue with Keynote. I have a table and I am pasting content from a Google sheet and when I paste it splits the content into columns when more than one word. One of the times I pasted a little pop up bubble appeared asking if I wanted to modify the pasting settings and when clicked it opened a menu I've never seen before that showed that words were split into columns at every space (Width adjusted) and then I could change it to Delimited and it fixed the issue and put all the text back into the one cell in main column. I can not find that menu or option anywhere and it hasn't shown back up since. How can I find this option again or stop it from doing this? I have to do this copy and paste thing every week for a presentation and it should be a simple copy and paste from Google sheet but instead it takes so much time cause I have to do one at a time. Help! Thank you!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you want to delete the row without affecting other row heights in Keynote. I'll explain.

Although this cannot be changed or manipulated in Preferences, you can adjust the height for rows and columns to a specific amount: Keynote for Mac: Resize table rows and columns in Keynote
