Catalina update cannot be verified

It cannot finish the download because the update could not be verified!

I have tried to download it 3 times on a 2013 Air. It keeps eating up my memory but will not for complete the process. Is it possible to erase the incomplete Catalina downloads? Where do I find them? Very disappointed by Apple at this point. :(

Odds are you have content caching on. What this does is store things off to speed things up - but in this case it is keeping old stuff around.

Go to System Preferences and in there look for Sharing. In that you will probably see “Content Caching” is checked. Click “Options”. There you want to click the “Reset” button.

Clearing out your cache means that old and new won’t be intermingled (Apple does some interesting tricks).

Okay, now you can redownload it.

Good Luck!

Try again by unclicking, save then click again, save and then reboot! The option "set date and time automatically" should be left clicked.

On another note, today I am experiencing random crashes that generate automatic reports sent to Apple. The more I think about it, the more I realise the new OS is packed with bugs! Very poor effort by Apple!
