macOS Catalina TV app not showing my iTunes library

I updated my MacBook Pro to 10.15 (Catalina) today and the new TV app isn't showing me my iTunes library, which includes a very large number of movies and TV shows. The Library tab shows empty placeholders for the 18 movies that I had downloaded, but no actual movie thumbnails, just the movie names and an empty box for each one. Oddly, the Watch Now tab shows my recently played and purchased movies and TV shows, and if I search for a movie that I own I get a movie page with a Play button, so it knows I own the movie. I tried signing out and back in to iCloud and rebooting, but nothing helps.

I had similar problems and found a solution via apple support call The problem was with my login items. I shutdown and restarted in safe mode. (Hold shift key while restarting until login screen appears) After opening the TV app, all the thumbnails appeared. I then removed my 4 login items (AdGuard, Dropbox, Clean-myMac, and Audio Hijack Scheduler) and restarted in regular mode. All the thumbnails were populated in the TV app. I'll be adding back the startup items one at a time to see which one it is.

I access my account on 6 different computers (3 Macs and 3 Windows.) Windows still has iTunes. When this issue crept up for you, it did for me (and presumably others.) At that moment, I have been unable to see "purchased" content in the Library tab in AppleTV app, as well as in iTunes in Windows. It all happened at the exact same time, which confirms that this is a server issue and not specifically our computers or apps. Furthermore, the connection error documented by a few here back that up as well. Annoyed that some of Apple's best customers (judging by the number of movies we have all purchased) are getting no service.

hi everyone same status on my empty library tab... its still empty. On the Apple TV now my purchased library does not show up but its easily accessed in the respective Movies and TV Shows section so small issue there. Am definitely disappointed but I think Apple is rolling out updates perhaps by order of severity... and the fact we haven't really lost any of our media is a relief for me at least. I just hope it won't be months until we finally get our library back.

Oh yes and no follow up from apple since they logged down the issue months back. Oh well... at least I can watch the shows.

Downloading 10.15.3 Update. Nothing about fixing our issue was mentioned in Release Notes.

"The ‌macOS Catalina‌ 10.15.3 update improves the stability, reliability and security of your Mac, and is recommended for all users.
This update:
- Optimizes gamma handling of low gray levels on Pro Display XDR for SDR workflows when using macOS
- Improves multi-stream video editing performance for HEVC and H.264 encoded 4K video on the 16-inch MacBook Pro (2019)"

I suspect it wasn't fixed. If so, how many months are we boing cut off from our purchased content, and how much longer are we gonna tolerate this?

My iPad Library showed up again two days after upgrading to 13.4.1 and then erasing all content and settings. Still not working on Apple TV’s. Although I did try the ‘built in’ Apple TV app on my Samsung TV and the library tab there works fine.

So, now my Macs work, my iPhone still works and my iPad started working again. Only thing left for me is for Apple to fix the issue on Apple TV’s running tvOS 13.4. I hope others are experiencing the same success. It’s been a very long time since this much worked for me on this issue.
