Cannot get rid of “today view” on iPad IOS13. I’d very much like to disable it

With iPadOS 13 scroll to the bottom of the Today View > Edit > Toggle Today View off.

Try turning App Size to Bigger in Settings > Display & Brightness. When App Size is set to Bigger the Today View widgets will not be pinned to your iPad’s Home Screen.

Try this. Go to Settings>Display and Brightness>Keep Today View on the home screen>Off. You may have to swipe to the left to get rid of it but it should only come back when you swipe to the right again on the home screen.

If you swipe to the left like I suggested, the Today View goes away. However, once you swipe to the right again it will come back and it is supposed to come back. All you have to do is swipe to the left again to remove it much in the same way it worked in iOS 12.

THANK YOU! This was driving me crazy, wasted so much time trying to find this in the Apple documentation on the update. And it's so hidden, I would have never looked there for that option! The small text size on the icons was also a problem for me, so two problems solved.
