I recently updated my 2019 MacBook Pro 13" (with Touch Bar) to the officially released macOS Catalina, and the toggle for True Tone in System Preferences is missing. Does anyone know what to do?

You seem to be having an unusual issue. In my case, all functions related to the ambient light sensor were missing on my computer (not only True Tone, but also the backlit keyboard and automatic brightness), so I figured it was a hardware issue with the ambient light sensor. I tried every possible method to fix it but to no avail, so in the end I had to hand it over to an Apple Store for it to be fixed from the ground up (Everything is working fine now. My computer was still under the 1 year warranty so I didn't have to pay a cent)
But in your case, the True Tone toggle is missing, but you still have the toggle for automatic brightness, so it can't be an issue with the ambient light sensor. I would advise you to wait for the next software update and update to it once it comes out, as it may be a software-related issue. Sorry I couldn't help you in any other way

Thanks for your reply. Yeah I figure that this may be a bug at macOS 15.2, I have another iMac 2019 27 inch with the same OS and the true tone toggle is missing as well.

I did the reset I also have the same problem with a 2017 MBP 15" and Catalina 10.15.1 (19B88)

First, try starting your Mac in safe mode to see if the option is still missing from system preferences: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac
If the issue persists in safe mode, try resetting the SMC and NVRAM on your Mac and look to see if the setting has returned:
I'd also suggest using First Aid via Disk Utility to check for issues: Repair a storage device in Disk Utility on Mac
