AirPods gen 2 microphone not working

Hey guys,

I just bought new apple airpods and straight out the box the microphone is not working for calls. I have have the first generation and it worked with no issues flawlessly, but this one the microphone cuts out for the other user on phone calls and FaceTime. Please let me know of any solutions you may have.
