I've upgrade my iPhone 8 plus to iOS 13 & updated my iMac yesterday
to Catalina. When I open the Music app I can't see my iPhone storage.
Is there a setting that needs to be checked in the Music app, Catalina, or iOS 13? When I plug the cable in I see the iPhone for about a second and then it disappears.

Manging of iOS devices has moved from the Music app (formally iTunes) to the Finder.
You should see your iPhone in the sidebar when you open a Finder window. When you click on it you should see all the stuff that you would have seen in iTunes prior to updating to macOS Catalina.

It took a couple days but the Finder finally screen came up. I miss seeing what songs are syncing.
Can't see the iPhone storage in the Music app.
