iPhone 11 Max Pro taking grainy video

Is anyone else having this issue? While taking video on the new phone it all comes out grainy no matter the zoom setting? I’ve never had this issue before.

Apple may not admit this but since iPhone XR and X cane out this has been a standard problem. Compare an iPhone 8 plus in sane lighting conditions and you will find the iPhone 8 Plus has got the best cane on iPhones ever. I have performed numerous tests with my various iPhones but the later gen iPhones following X produce similar grainy videos no matter whatever the settings are.

people who are commenting here about fps really need to understand how sensors and lighting works.

easy test - take iPhone 8 plus and now take your iPhone 11 pro max or any iPhone after X , start recording a video and slowly open a wardrobe door and film inside. Now watch these on the computer screen. I made the worst mistake of selling my iPhone 8 Plus and buying the new iPhone 11 pro max.

Hello Rogue1283,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like the quality of videos on the iPhone 11 Pro Max are not as good as expected. I can help and provide some possible tips.

Check the lighting where your capturing the video and try changing other settings for recording video in Settings > Camera: Take videos with your iPhone camera

If you think this might be an issue with the camera itself, these steps can help: If the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working

If you're still seeing those issues, it might be related to hardware. Here are the options for service: iPhone Repair - Official Apple Support

Cheers.

Hey All,

I have a new iPhone 11 Pro, same thing here... in all video modes, I get grainy video.

I thought it might be related to lighting, so I video'd in all modes in extreme sunlight...but

there is still graininess in the videos...Has there been any activity behind this issue?

I've powered off/on my phone, reset it..etc...latest software updates...still grainy...ugh!

Is anyone getting crystal clear video?
