BATTERY DRAIN ISSUES AFTER IOS 13.1.2 UPDATE,- SOLVED

ALL OWNERS OF IPHONES 5/6/7/8 WHO ARE UNHAPPY WITH EXCESSIVE BATTERY DRAIN SHOULD READ

The issue is NOT Apple’s fault but App developers. The problem is caused by your iPhone failing to update certain apps (even if you have set it to do this automatically via SETTINGS).

It’s as though you have put your car in the garage overnight with the heater running but not noticed it as you shut the door. When you return in the morning the battery is nearly dead. Certain Apps are triggered to continue running and using power even when you have exited them by the new iOS update.

The solution is to force App updates by going into the Apple AppStore and clicking on the update icon (if there is one). You should find that suddenly there are a few apps updating and that should solve your problem. I suspect that Instagram App is the culprit but have no proof.

Yes, the Update Tab is gone now.

Tap on your account icon in the upper right corner of the App Store. When you do that, another window opens up with all of the apps that require updating. You need to swipe down to see them all.

Also, there should be a red badge on your account icon with the number of apps that need to be updated.
