“helper” will damage your computer. You should move it to the Trash.

Since I've updated my Macbook Pro 15" 2018 to Mac OS X Catalina, this message keeps popping up every 20 minutes or so:

“helper” will damage your computer. You should move it to the Trash.

This file was downloaded on an unknown date.

Report malware to Apple to protect other users.

Obv. I've tried to move it to trash but the message keeps popping up and I'm neither able to locate the file on my drive nor is there a file in trash after I've clicked the button to move it. Also I can't recall downloading anything malwareish.

I'd appreciate any ideas since this is getting annoying.

Ok I think I may have found a fix. Open spotlight, type in helper, scroll to the bottom, where it says "show all in finder". Find the file that reads "helper" and move it to the trash. Empty the trash and that should take care of it.
