catalina setting up - how long should it take?
My Mac has been on the 'setting up' phase for at least 4 hours. This can't be right.
Power off your Mac then restart.

Switch off (ie at the mains) and switch back on again worked for me
FWIW, pressing the power button until a Mac shuts down works also.
At what point dues Apple step
up and provide some answers. My most recent MacBook Pro has been nothing but a disappointment. The latest os updates have been a disaster for me - information lost, slowed down, and now Catalina!!! What a joke!!! A wArning about this ‘upgrade’ should have been issued. Sadly i
live no where near an Apple store ... I would happily throw the ****** thing at them.
Mine set up is also taking 3 hours and still running must be something wrong
