How can I add space from an unallocated disk to an existing partition?
I have a MacBook Pro (Mid 2014) installed with macOS Mojave.
I accidentally deleted one of the containers on my hard drive. Now it is only showing 249GB out of 500GBs.
/dev/disk0 (internal, physical):
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: GUID_partition_scheme *500.3 GB disk0
1: EFI EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1
2: Apple_APFS Container disk1 249.6 GB disk0s2
/dev/disk1 (synthesized):
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: APFS Container Scheme - +249.6 GB disk1
Physical Store disk0s2
1: APFS Volume HD 197.2 GB disk1s1
2: APFS Volume PreBoot 44.7 MB disk1s2
3: APFS Volume Recovery 516.5 MB disk1s3
4: APFS Volume VM 1.1 GB disk1s4
also when tried with the diskutil resizeContainer command it gives the following error.
sudo diskutil apfs resizeContainer disk0s2 0
Started APFS operation
Error: -69743: The new size must be different than the existing size
Can anyone help with how I can allocate the remaining space to my primary partition.
Thanks in advance.
