Why cant I delete all junk mail at once on my iPad? Can I go back to the old version?

I had just ended live chat with Apple Support and their explanation is the update of iOS 13.1.2 affected Google Gmail Accounts but there’s a solution which resolved no Select All option when trying to delete away many emails & emails being autoflagged and this solution is to delete away the Google Gmail Account in your iPad (Go to Settings->Passwords & Accounts->Tap on Gmail (Under Accounts section)->Tap on Delete Account

After that, add your Google Gmail Account back into your iPad, pls refer to this link: https://support.apple.com/en-sg/HT201320

Here’s the solution:

1. Tap on Edit
2. Choose the emails which you want to delete by ticking them ✅ 
3. Tap on Mark on the bottom left & select Move to Junk to move to Junk OR
4. Tap on Move on the bottom center & select Bin to move to Bin

You are right, there’s problems with Apple Mail, I seldom flag my emails but I discovered 84 emails being flagged so I used my smartphone to unflag most of them. I will check with Apple Support and get back to you.

I was also having this problem and followed your suggestion by deleting and readding my account. It didn’t work. When I try to delete by selecting all, there is no option to delete.....only to move or archive. So I still have to delete one at a time. Very frustrating.

It is not advised to downgrade iOS 13 to iOS 12 because iOS 13 contains software patches against hackers which are necessary for your iPad.
