Titles do not appear in Photos since Catalina upgrade

Since I installed macOS Catalina, titles do not show up in Photos, even when that option is selected in the View:Metadata menu. They do appear when I view photo in albums, but not when I am viewing the Photos library.

Yes, that's true. For some reason that was left out. Once can duplicate the Photos view with a smart album that will show the Titles or file name if there is no title. Make the smart album like tis:

Then you'll be able got see either the title or file name.

You may want to send feedback to Apple with a feature request.

It seems to be a new, unfortunate feature - none of the views in the redesigned Photos: Years, months, days, all Photos, is showing the titles or filenames at all. Currently we can only see the titles in the albums we create ourselfs, or in Imports and Recents and the Media Types albums.

Use this form: https://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html

I am also using the work-around suggested by OT. But I am just using a smart album based on the date range "Date Captured is in the range ....". Whenever I want to see the photos for a recent shooting session I simply modify the date range in this smart album. This way I get the Moments back, that are also gone from Photos.
