I have this question too. And some context for my issue.

After upgrade from latest version of 10.14 to 10.15 (19A583) with all recent public updates applied on my Last 2013 iMac i7 and running Apple Music Version 1.0.0.426, I have the following challenges with App.

  1. Apple Radio service is broken: When music is paused and the computer goes to sleep, you can not resume the channel by pressing play. The app will complete the currently paused song but will not advance to the next song. This behavior was present in the last version of iTunes prior to the upgrade and has been a noticeable issue since Apple Music became accessible on iTunes.

Since the upgrade from iTunes to Music, the behavior remains but now also includes random application freezes when attempting to restart the Radio channel after waking the workstation up. This requires a force quit of Music resolve and it happens daily.

Some Context about my upgrade as I've noticed these themes when researching the issues I've experienced with Catalina thus far.

  • I have a thread open on issues re: Time Machine Data Loss / Missing Snapshots
  • My upgrade from 10.14 to 10.15 was not smooth - Find My required Recovery Disk verification to enable, "Setting Up" Upgrade install Phase required Force Restart, "iCloud Auth. Loop" requiring 20 cycles of password entry to resolve, "Keychain Enable Loop" - required 5 cycles to resolve. "OneDrive Data loss & Duplication" - Interactions between iCloud and OneDrive resulted in duplication of folders and files as well as 4 hours of Recycle Bin recovery for 2k rows of erroneously deleted files. This required a removal and reinstall of OneDrive client on workstation.

Hope this helps!

If you have any related comments to my threads could I ask you to share them?

Hi Basher_123,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that your music is not downloading in Apple Music and you're experiencing slow performance. I can help point you in the right direction.

First step if you haven't tried yet is to restart your Mac. Here's how to properly restart your Mac: How to turn your Mac on or off If you're on the latest version of macOS Catalina, open the Music app, then navigate to the menu bar and select Account. Please make sure you're signed in with your Apple ID. This will ensure that your music library is downloaded from Apple Music. In addition, you'll want to make sure that "Sync Library" is enabled. Here's how: Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music

If you're on a previous version of the macOS operating system, please let us know the model and year of your Mac. This way we can determine if you're on the latest version of the macOS operating system.

Cheers!

I have apple music Version 1.0.0.426 iOS Catalina. iPhone 6S Plus version 13.1.3. Music will not sync the music on my phone. I have done the above, I am signed in to Apple Music, I have restarted both MacBook Air and the iPhone and still doesn't sync the music. What has to be done?
