Dual SIM; wrong line being used for outgoing calls

I have 2 phone lines/use dual SIMs in iPhone XR: one virtual SIM (my default line) and one physical SIM. They were working perfectly:

In Contacts, I was able to switch individual contacts from the virtual SIM (default), over to ‘Always use:’ the physical SIM.

Since last week’s update to iOS 13.1.2, I’m seeing many (not all) of my outgoing calls originating from the wrong number (wrong sim being used), even though it’s correct in my Contacts. This ONLY began happening since the update.

Any ideas how to fix? Thanks!

Correct. My eSIM is my “default” and if I tap the call button in messages it goes through my physical SIM line every single time, ignoring the “always use” setting or the fact the text came in through my “default” (eSIM) line.

ive fuxxed with it for hours but no matter what that call button in messages always, for me, sends calls to the physical SIM, no matter what line I have as “default” or no matter what the contact is set to use, or no matter what line the message came in on. Always calls through physical sim.

Still having this sporadic problem. Also noticing a few other issues since recent iOS update....

Email: I’ll hear the notification that I’ve received new mail, but when I look at the phone, the new mail isn’t there right away... it takes 5-10 seconds before it comes in. Even if I wait a few minutes after the notification, before looking for the messages.

@schizbomb, when you say "primary", I assume you mean Default(?). So you're saying that your physical SIM is not your Default line- is that correct? My physical SIM is also not my default line, but if I tap a phone number from a message (or if I use Siri to initiate a call), it will ignore my 'Always Use' designation in 'Contacts' and the call will go out from my Default line.

Also if I tap a phone number from a website (a number that's not in my Contacts), I don't get the opportunity to designate which line to call from- it just uses the Default line.

Same goes for Apps.... For example if I search for a business in the Google Maps App, then I tap the 'Call' icon, the call initiates only from Default line.
