Where is Catalina update files located?
My Software Update for Catalina stalled at near 60% downloaded 3 times! So I lost more than 12 GB of my space. Where does that file get stored? I want to delete it.

Yes, but this folder contains the complete files of package. Mine is just 580 MB. but I try update for 5 times and it stalled during downloading InstallESDmg.pkg. I lost near 20 GB! and don't know where is it. Its about this file: InstallESDmg.pkg
I think they get saved somewhere in the /var folder tree -- can't remember exactly where, but if you use "lsof | grep -i installesd" you might find it. So have a Terminal window open and start the download again and then after a while try the lsof command. Might need to try several times as there is a lot of pieces that get downloaded and then reassembled into the installer app.
Good luck...
I connect with cable and download completely. After Catalina was installed, all the lost Space (near 30GB) come back and free :)
Normally in past OSes they go to Applications or Applications>Installers.
I did't find it there and my memory decrease 12 GB. I think this happened because software update stalled at near 60% and download was not complete.
Any installer files that have been downloaded but stalled are in the /Library/Updates folder and given a numerical entry like 061
or similar.
I think it reserves the space, so if you delete it you may get back the full space.
And then try the download again using a cabled connection rather than WiFi.
