Reason I ask this is because I am trying to help someone who updated their payment in itunes and then got an email saying they are going to be charged 7.99 per month. I havent had a chance to look at the email yet to see if it is actually from apple.
it just seems odd to me because I havent ever had any issues with purchasing tones because I use PayPal as my method of payment.
Ringtone purchases from the iTunes store are one-off charges, though he/she could have subscribed to a third-party ringtone app.

After doing some digging I found it on here that it was in fact a third party subscription and unsubscribed and fixed the problem! Thank you for the reply King_Penguin
