Undocked keyboard floating across screen

Ever since iOS 13 came out I was excited to have a version of swype available as a built in option, but the floating keyboard is giving me issues. If I slide it to get it out of the way as I type it will continue to the bottom right hand side of the screen. It only does it with Safari and its to the point that I’d rather just use my phone to browse online. No issues at all if I use the full size keyboard and type normally, but that’s not what I wanted to do.

I have had many thoughts of only using a phone and no iPad instead of upgrading for awhile now so I guess I’m not as bothered by this as I could be. Either I’ll use this iPad as long as I can or I’ll sell it and only rely on my phone for all use since I no longer carry my iPad on business these days. I already backed up, wiped, and reinstalled everything on my iPad yesterday to try and fix the issue. It went away as an issue for a total of 12 hours.

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?

I never liked Safari on Mac or iOS.

I prefer Mozilla Firefox or another iOS third party Web browser, called Perfect Browser.

Been using that Web Browser for the last 10 years on iOS.

Yep it’s literally just Safari. I can be in any app or other browser and it works as intended. It’s frustrating because I prefer Safari.

It keeps bouncing though and becomes unresponsive because it it won’t stop moving and jumping after initially moving it. If I leave it where it is and just type it’s not a problem, but the second I attempt to move it, it will just keep dancing across the screen.

I more or less wanted to see if anyone else has saw this issue and if I had a setting wrong. It’s not a brand new iPad so I didn’t expect Apple to help me directly.

The only way to get Apple to, DIRECTLY, listen to you is to use their feedback portion of their website.

Cognizant Apple employees read ALL feedback generated from all of the various feedback pages and transfers the data to the proper and responsible Apple teams and personnel , but NO Apple employees will ever respond with any type of direct, individual replies from the feedback you post.

The more users that post product feedback about any product issue, the faster Apple is made aware and starts working on a fix/solution for a future software update.

The mini floating keyboard is designed to float around the iPad’s screen so it can be accessed any where on the iPad’s screen in any location and/or screen orientation

This is NOT a bug.

This is working as designed.
