Menu button on my Apple Remote for my AppleTV will not return me to the Menu - I appear to be frozen in the ongoing program. I replaced the battery. Is there something else I need to do or need to know?
I don't know what generation by Apple TB is. It's a black box with silver simple Apple Remote.

I have a 2nd or 3rd generation model. Can't read the model number on the back very easily. But the fundamental question is about the Remote Menu button not taking me back to Menu or anywhere out of the current show. I noticed that the unit is not not flashing an acknowledgment of the remote when I press the menu button so maybe I just need to replace it. But if you know something to try, please advise.
