When I try to update my iPad say the version of iTunes (12.5.5) is current version

Hello,

iPad's system software update is different than updating iTunes. iTunes resides on a Macintosh or Windows PC.

Try updating your iPad through Settings > General > Software Update.

If you want to upgrade/update your iPad using iTunes, you need to upgrade either to iTunes 12.6.5.3 found here.

iTunes 12.6.5 found here.

iTunes 12.6.5 for the Mac requires OS X El Capitàn

10.11.4 or later. Not sure of Windows PC requirements on

this version.

OR

upgrade to the latest version of iTunes which is version 12.8.x or later.
