Selecting/Highlighting Text on Magic Trackpad 2

Is there a way to select text without having to force-click the Magic Trackpad 2? On older MacBooks I used to be able to double-tap and hold, then drag to highlight text. This feature does not seem to exist on this device.

Trackpad Click and Drag Issue When I click and drag to highlight text using my trackpad, it does not highlight more than one line at a time. I cannot select an entire paragraph, or page of text, without deleting one line at a time. This issue just arose a few days ago; my trackpad worked before. Is there a solution to this?

How to double tap and drag using touchpad Since my last update for my MacBook Pro, My mac lost the ability of double tapping and dragging a text using touch pad. Is there anyway to resolve it? I read lots of answers to the similar questions. They said activate dragging in touchpad options. But the current IOS does not have options for Touchpad.
