Sidecar is not working

I have a 2017 Macbook Pro, upgraded to Catalina 10.15. I have a iPad Pro upgraded to 13.1.2. On the same WIFI network with both bluetooth & handoff turned on. Initially airplay did not even show my iPad as a device (only my apple tv was present). Then I read somewhere to log out of iCloud on both devices. After doing this finally the iPad was showing up in airplay. However, I get the error message "unable to connect to iPad, device timed out". I really don't want to re-install Catalina but if that fixes this problem, I'll do it. Any suggestions??

I had same issue in a 2015 iMax, but it works fine in my 2017 macBookPro.

No way I'm downloading Catalina again. I think it will come in next update,

ask yourself, is it really anything you need or will use?

Sidecar not working. Get error message " Unable to connect to iPad. The device timed out. Spent over an hour with Apple support and senior support , neither could resolve problem. Looking for solutions. Thanks

How do you perform a hard reset on iPad (2018)?
