Folder size not showing correctly on NAS Drive

I've a NAS drive accessed from my iMAC running on MacOS 10.15 (Catalina). Several folders on this NAS drive is showing of size Zero Bytes in spite of having several contents in it. The individual files in the same folder are actually showing the right sizes.

This is not the rule though. Some folders on the same NAS device are showing correct sizes and some are simply showing Zero Bytes, like mentioned above.

What can be the issue here?

Populated folders show zero bytes - Big Sur I upgraded to Big Sur 11.5.2 yesterday, on my iMacPro (4.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 2017). I have my view options to "Calculate all sizes." When I create a new folder and add files, the folder reads "zero bytes." The Get Info command also will read "zero bytes." If I drag the folder and make a copy of it underneath, it reads the correct size. If I copy a "zero bytes" folder to an external drive, the external will read the size; when I copy it back to my Mac it will read the size. Is there any fix for this, without my having to use this workaround? Thanks.

Access to files from macOS Monterey to macOS Big Sur inconsistent I have an iMac running Big Sur 11.7 that I regularly wish to access files on from a MacBook running Monterey 12.6. Here are three folders on the Big Sur iMac that I wish to regularly access: From the MacBook I can see all the files in Pictures and Movies, but can see no files in Documents. It shows a file count of zero. I have no idea what is wrong here. Any suggestions?
