Update to Catalina and now too many photo libraries!!!

Now I have two iPhoto Libraries and one Photos Library. Can anybody advise if I may now delete the old iPhoto (50GB in total) without loosing some photos ?????

It says is migrated, but who knows and and to check ?

We are talking about 12k+ photos....

The old iPhoto Libraries are sharing the storage with the new Photos Libraries, unless you are using iCloud Photos. o you may not gain much free storage by deleting the iPhoto Libraries (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204476).

If the filename extension of an iPhoto Library is .migratedphotolibrary, it has previously been opened by Photos and a similar Photoslibrary has been created. If you did not delete the new Photos Library or delete photos from the new Photos Library, you can remove the iPhoto Library, as iPhoto is no longer supported anyway. But I would keep a copy on a backup drive, just in case you need to recover photos from it.

Both libraries are Photos Libraries. The item above is also a Photos Library, even if it is called "iPhoto Library". You can tell this by the thumbnail with the rainbow flower.

Just look into all your Photos Libraries with Photos in turn. If you double click the icon, Photos will launch and switch to the library you just clicked. Compare the photos in each library, so you can tell, which Photos Library you need to keep.
