IOS 13.1.2 incompatibility with car’s Bluetooth

More than a question, my post intention is to out out there that my 2017 Infiniti QX80 that have been working perfectly for almost 2 years with my iPhone, it is not working since I updated to the new IOS version this week. It connects and disconnects in seconds, I cannot listen a song for more than 3 seconds and the same with phone calls. In my case the new version of IOS didn’t fix connectivity issues but instead it made it an issue. Anyone has this car?

I have the same issue on my 2014 Infiniti QX80. It’s worked fine ever since I purchased this car when it was brand new. Sounds like you also have a fairly new QX80. It worked until I updated my IOS a couple days ago. I can’t access my contacts and now I have to dial my contacts through my phone. After this I can talk through car, but I can’t see contact or play music. What is the fix for this?

Hello andreina266,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with your iPhone and connecting to your car stereo. I will be happy to check this out.

Please check this troubleshooting article: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod doesn't connect to or work in your car - Apple Support

  • Since you mention that this occurs after your iOS upgrade, there is also a step mentioning the need to check if the car stereo needs an update to work with the new iOS version, stating:

"If needed, install firmware updates. Check your car's manual for more information."

Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.
